The shops overflowing with cars right now.
We have an early 2000s Camry in with an intermittent starting issue. (A Camry which has been in before for the same issue) Sitting in a parking space inside the shop.
A 4th-gen Camaro awaiting a new lower control arm on the passenger side. Taking up a parking space.
A 2000 Grand Prix in for new struts (Same blurple Grand Prix GTP that was in a few weeks ago for a tuneup) Taking up a lift.
A refreshed blob Taurus in waiting for an AC compressor to come in so we can put it in. Taking up a lift.
Classmate's '96 Bonneville that's been in the shop for pretty much the entire time he's owned it because the brake lines in the front burst and the rear ones did while bleeding the front ones. Taking up a lift.
Then there's my teacher's rather large '11 2500 Silverado on a lift and the school's donated '07 2500 Silverado sitting in a parking space inside.
To put this into perspective, we have 5 lifts, four are being used and the last one can't be used because it's air powered and the compressor is out. We also have five interior parking spaces, one of which is filled with toolboxes and motor hoists and other random parts, another with a tractor. The shop isn't very big in the first place so right now it's just really cramped.
If they'd fix the damn air compressor, we could use the air tools and get things moving a lot faster. It should be up by tomorrow.
And if my classmate would get his Bonneville that's been in there for three weeks fixed. I feel for the kid though because it's just been setback after setback fixing the thing.

It's a good thing that you don't have to do spark plugs on that 4th gen.

I would run far, far away if we did.

"Hey, my car is red... this one's black"
"I know- it's just easier to get a new car instead"
